I was born in Palmer, Alaska, about an hour north of Anchorage, where my family owned a small farm near the Knik River and “The Butte” in the well-known Matanuska Valley, famous for its world-class cabbage and potatoes. Growing up on a farm taught me the importance of hard work—starting each day early, planning and prioritizing, keeping my word, and finishing what I start.
That work ethic has been the foundation of my real estate career. I began working as a full-time Real Estate Agent in Anchorage in 1983 and have proudly served clients for more than 40 years. Along the way, I earned my Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, completing advanced training to better assist both buyers and sellers.
I am also proud to be a father and grandfather. My daughter, Corene, lives in State College, Pennsylvania, with her husband and children. My son, Ryan, is based in New York City, and my youngest, Cody, rounds out my crew. Between them, I have been blessed with five wonderful grandchildren.
Outside of real estate, I enjoy staying active and making the most of Alaska’s seasons. My hobbies include biking (mountain biking in the summer and fat tire biking in the winter), skeet shooting, downhill skiing, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and photography. I’m also an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction, and I make a point to start most mornings with a bike ride.
